The San Francisco Department of Public Health website has an
actual “Environmental Health Services” section which has a great deal of
information regarding the services provided in this area. This section includes what I see as obvious
environmental health topics such as restaurant inspections and scores, food
permits, hazardous waste, lead prevention, noise, rodents and insects, agriculture,
healthy housing, water programs, air and smoking, and garbage. More interesting topics, which I didn’t really
previously associate with environmental health include body art, massage,
weights and measures, cannabis and transportation.
I looked up the same information. I also hadn't associated body art with environmental health and explored that section a little bit more in-depth.
